We are so excited to congratulate Erica Tennenbaum, Co-Chair of our Best Bites Committee for her recent ‘Volunteer of the Year’ award bestowed by the Chamber of Commerce, Cambridge & North Dumfries Community Awards.
Erica has such great passion for this community - for the hospital and for Rotary especially. It is her commitment as a Rotarian that brought her to the role as co-chair of Best Bites, a role she has served with enthusiasm for almost a decade. Rotary has been an integral part of Erica’s life since she was an early teen. Her 24 years of service taught her about volunteering and the impact one person can have on their community. Erica showed great leadership in 2006 when she led a group of Rotarians in convincing the Hospital Foundation to revive the Taste of the Region event from its former days at Langdon Hall. She believes the current Best Bites event has become a win-win for all who participate– restaurants, businesses, community guests and two deserving charities. Erica also credits her Co-chair, Amy Cottenie, from MNP, and their tenured committee of volunteers for the event’s success. These dedicated individuals are the reason Erica has enjoyed serving in this capacity and raising funds for CMH.
Thank you to the Chamber for celebrating community volunteers and to McSevney Ebben LLP for sponsoring this ‘Volunteer of the Year’ award!
