The Stars Have Aligned With Our Trees of Caring Partners
Our Trees of Caring along Coronation Boulevard are beginning to shine brightly! Leading the generosity are our 3 Star donors who together have contributed $9,000 to help purchase patient equipment for Cambridge Memorial Hospital (CMH). Ten additional corporate donors have contributed with bronze sponsorships.
We would like to recognize 12 years of steadfast holiday support from the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch 272, who have once again lit the prominent Bronze Star. We would also like to welcome Farm Mutual Re who has lit our Silver Star this year, and celebrate the donation of Cambridge Brass who holds this year’s Gold Star, all in support of the Trees of Caring at CMH.
The Star program is part of the Trees of Caring Campaign, now in its 30th year. Donations will purchase patient equipment for the new wing, helping put the best tools possible into the hands of our physicians, nurses and allied professionals.
“We were so pleased to have our communities continued support for 30 years of Trees of Caring. It speaks to the generosity this community shows each and every year. Our community continues to rally around CMH and the WeCareCMH Campaign and for that we are grateful.” – Lisa Short, Executive Director, CMH Foundation
Another community partner raising funds for local healthcare is Cambridge Toyota. For over 19 years, Cambridge Toyota has been running a promotion for the holiday season with proceeds to CMH. Twenty-five dollars is donated from each new or used car purchased in November and December. New owners receive a Trees of Caring card and a warm feeling when they drive their vehicle past the tree display. Since 1993 this incentive has contributed over $65,000 to Trees of Caring. Thank you Cambridge Toyota!
